#31DC2014 Days 19-24
So this is the third batch of #31DC2014 manis I’m sharing, and I have to say, I really loved this week’s worth! I did encounter a couple days where I had to tone it down a bit, but there were a couple manis I loved!
Day 19
For Day 19, the prompt was “galaxies.” Possibly one of my most favorite manis of the whole challenge so far! This is:
- Two-coats of Colors by Llarowe (CBL) At Last as a base
- CBL Dock of the Bay sponged on
- CBL That Bloo is Mine! sponged on
- One coat of OPI Muppets World Tour for the stars
The effect is so pretty!
Day 20
Day 20 – water marble – was the most time consuming days of the challenges to date!
I used:
- Zoya Spencer two coats for the base
- Jessica Mad for Madison
- Jessica Blue Harlem
- Jessica Soho in Love
- KBShimmer Shore Thing
- Zoya Margo
- Sally Hansen Take the Leap (one layer over the finished mani)
I thought it turned out neat but the photo shows it’s very imperfect!
Day 21
For the color prompt I choose my favorite – blue!
I saw a tutorial by @sveta_sanders on Instagram, and decided I had to try it! This mani is China Glaze One Track Mind on one half the nail and Alessandro Peppermint Patty on the other half, swirled together with a toothpick.
Day 22
This day I needed more toned down nails. The prompt was inspired by a song – so I choose “If I Had $1 Million” by the Bare Naked Ladies. Do you know the lyric – “…I’d buy you a green dress…but not a real green dress that’s cruel”? Hehe. I thought this mani was clever and toned down enough for my work event. I used OPI Amazon…Amazeoff, then Milani Cosmetics Lady-Like Sheer on my ring finger with the dollar bill water decal.
Day 23
Day 23 was inspired by a movie! I wanted to do something with “Anchorman” but I lacked the motivation, and again, I had to keep things slightly toned down. So I went with “Jaws,” since I had opaque, full-nail Cha Cha Covers with the movie design, and used Glisten & Glow You’ve been HAZED! on the other fingers! You’ve Been Hazed! is a beautiful light blue holo!
Day 24
Finally we’re on Day 24. Inspired by a book. Well, I’m inspired by ALL THE BOOKS because reading is MY FAVORITE. So I used MoYou London Scholar Collection plate 02 with Black Pearl Konad Special Polish, over two coats of Different Dimension Solar Flare. On my pinky, I used two coats of Ciate Beam Me Up Lottie. I loved this mani!
The following batch of manis is going to be tough, I found it difficult to stay on top of the challenge with a busy work schedule and weekend plans. But I’ll do 31 days, I swear!
