MoYou Nails Stamping

Disclaimer: Press sample. See bottom.

While at Cosmoprof North America Las Vegas this past July, I met the folks behind MoYou Nails.

MoYou Nails is not to be confused with MoYou London! They were one at one time joined, but now they are separate companies.

A MoYou Nails rep told me they have stamp designs for everyone – teens, mature customers and kids. The stamping plates are round – which is to me the traditional stamping plate when I think about my first foray into stamping back in 2009, and all the Konad plates I sought!

MoYou – an 8-year-old company – sells image plates, stamping polish, sets and more through their website. Here’s the unboxing of a set the owner sent me home to try, the Kitty set (how appropriate, seeing as I’m a crazy cat lady, haha!):

Kitty comes with a white Special stamping nail polish, two plates, an instructional booklet, a scraper and a stamper. It’s a really basic set, but makes a nice starter gift for someone who wants to get into stamping!

There are a bunch of other MoYou set options – from large pro plates like this:

To other gift sets like this, the Premium set and the Princess set:

So how did it work?

I used the stamping set for one of my #31DC2014 manis, and I thought the polish was easy to use, thick, opaque, and the stamping was easy, as well. Please excuse my cuticles, ugh!

There are a couple imperfections in my stamping, but nothing too horrifying! I really liked my accent nail.

MoYou also suggests using its Special Nail Polish as a base color for stamping, as well as a stamping polish. I didn’t try that out, but knowing that we often use regular nail polish for stamping, it makes sense.

Based on my experience with this starter set, I would buy the Special Nail Polish, and more image plates. I’ve got my eye on about three plates, including the Olympics plate, as a matter of fact!

Availability of MoYou Nails is mostly online, unless you live in Las Vegas! The brand is sold in five locations in Las Vegas.

Prices range, from $7.99 for image plates and Special Nail Polish, to $179.99 for a pro set. There are also discounted bundles. Check everything out on their website here.

Have you tried MoYou Nails? What do you think of their plates?

Disclaimer: I received the stamping set for review from the PR Firm/Manufacturer. Please visit my Disclosure tab for more information on how BeautyJudy.com keeps it real!
