Bruce Lee Off-Broadway Production “Kung Fu” Opens February 24

The off-Broadway production of Kung Fu is almost here! I’ve been really excited about this production, which opens Feb. 24, and I hope to see it one day. If you’re in New York and you get to see it, please leave a comment or contact me if you want to leave a guest review!

If you want to get a first look at the production, check out these production photos in the gallery below.

Cole Horibe stars as Bruce Lee and Phoebe Strole stars as Linda, Lee’s wife. Bradley Fong plays young Brandon, Lee’s son. The production is written by David Henry Hwang, directed by Leigh Silverman and choreographed by Sonya Tayeh (with specialty choreographer Dou Dou Huang). Here’s the official description of the show:

An exhilarating portrait of international icon Bruce Lee’s journey from troubled Hong Kong youth to martial arts legend, Kung Fu blends dance, Chinese opera, martial arts and drama into a bold new theatrical form. This world premiere production follows Lee in America as he struggles to prove himself as a fighter, a husband, a father, and a man.
