Our Farmhouse Christmas Tour 2014

Merry Christmas everyone! Welcome to our home!

Our family loves this time of year. Some of our favorite traditions are baking and decorating gingerbread men and watching Christmas movies together. Of course, we love everything about this time of year. We play Christmas songs while we are busy around the house, and we read at least one Christmas book a day. I want my kids to remember how it feels in our home at Christmas time…that it’s warm and cozy, and welcoming. Most of all, that my kids understand the true meaning of Christmas…that we celebrate the LOVE of our Father who sent His Son for each one of our hearts :)

My Christmas decor is quite simple actually. Over the past few years, I decided to enjoy the season more, instead of spending so much time & money on decorating for the season. Now, I still LOVE decorating for Christmas…I just keep it simple & fresh. I use fresh wreaths & garland and a lot of homemade items.

Our tree is a real Frasier Fir…and our kids decorated it with all of their ornaments. One of my favorite traditions is decorating the tree, and listening to the kids tell about how they made or received each ornament.

I took inspiration from Maria, at Dreamy Whites, and made our Advent Calendar from tiny linen bags. I painted a white number on each bag, and hung them from our vintage ladder.

Well, I know that’s a lot of photos to look through…thanks so much for visiting my blog to get a glimpse of our farmhouse Christmas :)

I wish you and your family the sweetest, most memorable, fun Christmas ever!

Enjoy your time with family and friends.
