Are you going to a holiday party over the next two weeks? A family or friend’s house to wish them good cheer? Why not whip up a batch of crunchy goodness to take to them as a hostess gift.
Food gifts are always welcome and enjoyed, plus ones that are wrapped with holiday flair spread the gift of giving which is what the holidays are all about. I like giving these pretzels because they are easy to make and can be made ahead of time. They also are easy to transport.
I found the vintage Christmas card image online and fell it love with it. I had to find a way to use it since it makes me smile. I love the vintage feel and the fashionable happy woman bearing lots of beautifully wrapped gifts and a wreath to bring holiday cheer to her destination.
I made it into gift tags and have a free printable for you to download.
On my trips to HomeGoods, I am always on the lookout for containers in which to place food gifts in. I found the red topped jar and the white ceramic berry basket last week. With the addition of a piece of ribbon and the vintage Christmas card tag, I have created a hostess gift that can be enjoyed by the whole family.
I used clear acetate wrap that I bought at the party store to wrap the pretzels in before placing them in the berry basket.
It is very easy to make the Garlic Pretzels – only 20 minutes start to finish. You need a bag of hard pretzels, a dry package of Ranch salad dressing, and herbs. Cleanup is easy, too – one bowl, a spatula, and a baking sheet. Your kitchen will smell delish when they are baking in the oven. Recipe is at end of post.
To download and print tags:
Right click to save the image below on your computer to print out on card stock – or – download one of these free printable .pdf files of the vintage Christmas gift tags.
Long tags -I used on the glass jar
Short tags - I used on the berry basket
Use a paper cutter or scissors to cut the tags out. I cut mine out so that there was a white border around each gift tag.
