Little known fact: I waste spend an inordinate amount of time playing with photo editors. I can easily spend two hours on a single photo, testing different vintage effects and tweaking contrast settings. I'm particularly obsessed with the endless possibilities offered by RadLab. (And it's totally possible that I missed my calling as a graphic designer. But c'est la vie, it turns out I'm good at insurance.) So why is this fact little known? Well, the funny thing is that very few of my editing experiments make it to my blog - I'm hyper conscious of the possibility of over-editing, which can lead photos to look unnatural or worse, cheesy. But, at least for today, I've decided to throw caution to the wind and share one of my most recent projects. After all, what's the point of having a blog if you can't take risks? I can think of a couple of snappy answers but, for the sake of proving my own point, I'm going to say that without risks, there's no point at all.

Fait établi (mais peu connu): je gaspille passe des heures à jouer avec des logiciels de retouche. Je peux très facilement perdre deux heures à retravailler une seule photo, testant des effets rétro et modifiant le contraste. J'ai surtout un gros coup de coeur pour RadLab. (Et je me rends compte que j'aurais dû poursuivre le graphisme comme métier. Mais c'est la vie, je suis fort en assurances, aussi.) Alors pourquoi ce fait est-il peu connu ? Bon, la vérité, c'est que je présente très peu de mes tentatives sur mon blog - je suis hyper consciente de la possibilité de trop retoucher, de rendre mes photos artificielles, ou pire, ringard. Cependant, je me sens audacieuse aujourd'hui et donc je vous présente un de mes projets. À quoi ça sert, tenir un blog, si je ne peux pas courir quelques risques, après tout ? Je peux trouver quelques réponses incisives à ma question mais afin d'étayer mes propos, je dirai que sans pouvoir courir des risques, ça ne sert à rien.
