MBF CONSULT / AVATAR EVENT presents Miss Gbagada Beauty Pageant, it is an empowerment pageant that is geared to reducing the rate of unemployment in our community and reward excellence
INTRODCTION Nigeria is a nation of over 120million people, Over 60 % of the population are youth and over 55|% of the youth are not gainfully employed. So we have decided to organize a beauty pageant in our community to educate the young girls about their role in the society and to equip them with what it takes to be self dependent in a country like Nigeria. It is an annual event that that is aimed at developing, educating, reorienting, and fostering peace and unity among the community because We believe that if u educate and equip a lady you are educating the nation. This will lead to more ladies being self employed and reduce the rate of unemployment in the community. The pageant is also to inculcate the good will in our young ladies. Because we are losing the ‘togetherness spirit’ of Africans which makes us unique and to reward people that have stood out in one area or the other in the community This is what we seek to achieve with our initiative: MISS GBAGADA BEAUTY PAGEANT 2014
OBJECTIVE To foster peace and unity in the community and to educate, empower and develop human capacity in the community and to reward excellence
VISION To make the community safe and more habitable with more young female entrepreneurs
MISSION To train the young minds to be self reliant and productive
ARTISTIC CONCEPT We believe in the ripple effect as Rome was not built in one day. By careful and deliberate planned events such as this pageant we can contribute little by little but significantly to the growth of the community. The pageant is a one month empowerment event which is broken down into six major events; free catwalk training, free make-up training, sanitation, auditioning, camping and the main event which is the beauty pageant and fund racing dinner
FREE CATWALK TRAINING;- 100 youth in the community will be trained on catwalk to start their modeling career for one week. Which will be in conjunction with Nigerian Opportunity Industrialization Center ( NOIC ) Gbagada. :- modeling 9am to 12noon, its 100% free. No payment for registration. FREE MAKE-UP TRAINING;- 50 youth will be trained to be professional make-up artists. venue :- Nigerian Opportunity Industrialization Centre ( NOIC ), Plot A14, Oshodi- Oworonski Express Way, by Charley Boy Bus Stop, Gbagada,Lagos , DATE 1st - 5th of sept 2014 . TIME:- 12:30 to 2:30pm. and you are to come with white top and your personal make-up product or any other make-up products you have.
SANITATION;- this is a platform where all the beneficiaries will participate in cleaning one area or the other in the community wearing the miss Gbagada tops
AUDITIONING;- it is an event where the finalists that will be going to camp will be short listed
CAMPING This is a platform by which the girls will be in camp and will be trained by seasoned professionals on catwalk, poise and carriage, showmanship, personality development and presentation
THE MAIN EVENT;- Its a red carpet, full media event with all the elegance, pump and pageantry, glamour, beauty as well as style to celebrate the Nigerian Fashion and beauty industry. Celebrities will be in attendance and 20 finalists will compete for the crown.
