Shades of Green

The way fashion designers decide what belongs in what season sometimes baffles me. Take for example this Max Mara dress and coat. It was part of the spring 2014 collection. I bought the dress early last winter (because isn't that when you really want your spring clothes?) but didn't pull the trigger on the coat. It was too lightweight for winter but heavier than I'd want in the spring. Once all the spring stuff went on sale, lo and behold, the coat was still there. It's the perfect weight for a fall coat.
