Liese Bubble Hair Colour

Have always been relying on John from Salon Vim for my tresses but recently I had to chance to try out the talked-about Liese Bubble Hair Color! I'm not exactly the best person when it comes to D.I.Y and as you can imagine, I'm not very confident of dyeing my own hair because I tried it once before and it was a complete disaster! The colour was so uneven and it came out in patches and I swore to myself never again. I rather spend a sum doing my hair than to spend a sum on home-kit PLUS a salon trip to save the hair after.

And recently, I was tasked to test out Liese Bubble Hair Color. Initially I was quite worried because I'm afraid I might make a total mess to my bathroom at home, my hair and thought it's best not to take up this assignment. But I was told that Liese Bubble Hair Color is probably one of the easiest home kit dye set because unlike others, it's known for its foam-dye. So after second thoughts, I thought it would be interesting to test it out to see how easy it would be. Maybe those personal observations on how stylists performed hair-dye at salon trips can even strike an inspiration or two when I start doing it myself at home!

Liese has a wide range of products that could give your hair a complete makeover – 1. Color 2. Treat 3.Style. (Also known as co1or tre2t styl3). I'll be sharing my two cents worth below on how you can achieve a new colour of your choice and some styles that can be useful for this Chinese New Year!

Thank you Liese for sending over a complete set of products for hair dying, treatment and styling!

One of my favourites from the set, I thought it smells really good and it's leave-in as well. Fuss free!

Chose a creamy beige tone which I thought it's nice and best to keep it safe since it'll be my first Liese Bubble Hair Color try!

And the signature styling products!

Do you know that Liese Bubble Hair Color comes in 17 shades?!

So here's putting Liese Bubble Hair Color to the test! I chose Creamy Beige ;)

The before – got a dark and rich brown by John at Salon Vim previously. John is Liese's Hair Expert by the way!

Step 1: Color

Things you will find in the box.

Start off with (1) and (2) – both named on the bottles.

Mix (1) into (2)

Do not shake! Mix the solutions up by topping it 180 degrees down and up gently.

Change to the foaming cap.

Wear your gloves (provided)!

Do not tilt the bottle but instead hold it up straight and press the middle – foam will be generated!

Start by dividing your hair and spread the foam evenly. Repeat this till you think you have tried your best to divide the hair and spread the foam evenly!

Meow!

So this was how it looks after I applied the foam to my entire head. Felt like I was shampooing my hair and it did seem easy, hee.

I liked that there was no drips and the entire process wasn't as messy as I thought. Used to stain the floors, my clothes and everywhere but this was surprisingly easy. Furthermore, it came with a treatment pack and I didn't feel like my hair was dry after dying! In fact, the hair actually seems and feels pretty healthy – must be the gloss shade and the treatment!

Wait for 30 minutes.

The final result! My base colour was darker previously so I guess the colour wasn't as obvious as how the model looked on the box. But I always have a thing for brown hair and I kinda like the soft shade of brown!

Step 2: Treat!

Used the juicy shower to moisturize the hair, especially the ends to prep the hair before styling and make the hair more manageable.

Step 3: Style

As I did soft rebonding previously, these two products (on the right) for straight hair would be perfect for my daily styling – especially when I like my ends curled in slightly!

(Snap shots taken from the variety show I previously helped for John for Liese- more below!)

Here's a tip John taught me! Instead of using hairdryer to do the curls (Which is 10 times harder), segment your hair and use a straightener to curl the ends part by part. Do it in a quick and swift movement to ensure that there are no 'lines' on the ends and instead, a smooth curl-in shape.

There you go – fuss free steps and you get neater hair!

Another style you can do for work would be the tie-up low pony tail look. Learned it previously when helping John for his Liese's filming on Channel U ;)

Using the Airy Style Blow Dry Water, I divided the hair into parts, sprayed about 2-5 times from a distance (15cm preferably). This is followed by blowing my hair in a downward direction after spraying for volume. After that, I applied the Frizz Free Styling Milk to ensure that my hair stays in place, moisturized and free from frizz.

Part hair into 2 sections – top and bottom. Took the top half and tied it into a small pony tail.

Elevate the ponytail by clipping it with a crocodile clip for extra volume and tie another low ponytail with the rest of the hair.

There you go! Locked it up with Super Hard Hair Spray!

Hope this post helps for a day-to-day simple look and you can simply try it yourself. These hairstyles should simply suit almost all your outfits!
