Not sure how I've gone through so many winters without flannel PJs - these are so warm and comfy, I didn't bother changing out of the top. Both pieces of the xxs regular set (was $36 in-stores) required several inches of hemming, however, so I'd recommend petite ladies to look into either capri-style or kids sets.
Recently in a
post on casual staples, a few of you asked for a scarf tying tutorial. This is one of my favorite ways to wear longer scarves, and the look changes up a bit depending on the fabric thickness.
From the graphic below: Steps 1-2) Criss-cross the ends of a long scarf behind the back of your neck, 3-4) Pull both ends in front of your chest and tie them once, loosely, below the first loop, 5-6) Fluff / reposition both loops. Easy peasy!
Until midnight today (1/20), Ann Taylor is having 50% off full-priced items and extra 60% off sale items store-wide with ANNFLASH. I love the soft neutral palette with dark color-blocking in the new arrivals:
My 50% off picks:
Crepe colorblock blouse,
Eryn cap toe heels,
Skylar cap toe flats I haven't yet seen this specific top in person, but I own several AT 100% polyester blouses. They drape like silk but are machine-washable, and have held up nicely over the years. For my shoe picks, these have the ideal color-blocking combo with neutral throughout the upper to visually lengthen shorter legs, and dark cap toes to help conceal dirt and scuffing in the front. Sizes start in 5 , and the after-sale prices of $49-$64 seem very reasonable for leather shoes. From the clearance section, I own this
tortoiseshell patent leather belt (see
on me) which is now $12 after discounts. It adds a nice printed accent to outfits with denim/chambray, black, navy, and browns.
