NOTD: a subtle mint glitter gradation…

Can’t believe it’s Monday already! I hope you had a good weekend. I spent two glorious days with really long lie-ins which I craved & finally got round to leisurely things like getting to grips with my new sewing machine (I finally managed to insert an invisible zip…hooray!).

Thought I would share with you a manicure I did a few weeks ago…started off with Bourjois’ So Laque “Bleu Model” which is just quite frustratingly thin in coverage…three coats & still not happy with the it:

So after a day I toyed around with layering Orly’s “Peaceful Opposition” on top…

I love this Orly shade. It’s packed with chunky silver glitter suspended in a tinted gelly base. I kind of wish I could just get the polish without the glitter as I’d like to see what kind of gradations & effects I could get with a sheer white wash…

Much happier with these results & whilst the gradation is very subtle; I think the layering has resulted in a much nicer finish
