PRETTY LITTLE BLINGS Today's look is an ode to details. While it's true that there's beauty in simplicity, it's also good to have some scene-stealing pieces with elaborate embellishments. This dress from
CHOIES is a perfect example. It's taken the concept of a lace dress to a whole new level. Inspired by designs from Three Floor, it incorporated lace into a nude base, creating a sexy, but very sophisticated dress. The lace pieces, instead of occupying the whole dress, were used as accents to create somewhat oriental patterns. I guess that's why Three Floor named it "China." Or perhaps it was named as such because of the blue color similar to that found on Chinese ceramics. Either way, it's a gorgeous piece of art.
I also loved that the lace was lined adjacently to leather, giving an interplay of soft and hard fabrics. You all know that I love balance in my outfits! Finally, I looove the fit of this dress. Personally, I think this will suit girls with curves more than those on the the very skinny side. The design and cut of the dress might overpower petite figures.
I paired this dress with a simple pair of black boots from
MART OF CHINA to add a subtly rugged touch. On more formal occasions, you can still use this dress, but maybe with a pair of black pumps instead. For accessories, I decided now would be a good time to stack some rings! I didn't go for my usual bangles because I didn't want to hide the sleeves of the dress. So I put on these rings from
PRETTY LITTLE BLINGS to decorate my fingers.
