Today's outfit is proof that casual clothes can be cool too! It's just about having the right staple items in your closet. It's as simple as putting on a basic pair of denim shorts, a graphic tee, a trusty cardigan, black boots, and some fun accessories. C'mon, let's face it, the shorts-shirt look is the easiest rule in the book. The trick in bringing this look up a notch relies on choosing interesting colors, and adding your own personal twist.

In my opinion, two things make this outfit more interesting. First would be this pair of distressed shorts from KATE-KATY. Denim shorts are pretty much the same everywhere, and can be worn in almost every way. But what makes a pair of shorts a good one relies on how it fits, and the small details that make it unique. This pair has a great fit, and I particularly love how stylishly shredded it is. Yeah, it's short! Yeah, it has unnecessary holes on 'em...but that's why they're COOL! Haha! I also love how the denim seems to be stone-washed, adding to the worn-down effect.
The other would be my oxblood cardigan. It's autumn in so many parts of the world right now, and oxblood is such a great color for the season. So even if it's non-existent in the Philippines (meh), I thought I'd channel a bit of fall with some of its hues in my wardrobe.

To keep the look urban, I opted to use my black leather boots from MART OF CHINA . I added some flashy bracelets from PRETTY LITTLE BLINGS, a cross ring from LI'S CLOSET, and my favorite pair of round and rimmed sunnies from ROMWE.
