j.crew review: berry bouquet top.

Hi everyone!

I have another J.Crew review for you today, and it's now final sale, so I wanted to make sure you'd all have a picture in case you're considering purchasing. Today is the last day for the 40% off SHOPHAPPY promo.

The Berry Bouquet Top was on my wishlist since it rolled out, but the starting price point was crazytown. I was able to get it on sale plus 40% off without it being final sale, and that price was much more my speed. The print is gorgeous, and I'm really loving the berry colors, which will translate well into spring. The background color is actually black, rather than navy, though I have to keep looking at it to be sure. I thought it could be one of those uber-dark navys that JC does, but I'd say it's black and the lining looks solid black too. It's a silk/cotton mix, which is lovely and feels substantial, and is fully lined (but alas, in poly, which is a bummer). There is a size zip and a little keyhole back -- ooh, and bra keeps. Love those. I ordered my usual size 4 in these sorts of tanks, and it's a nice fit. If I went with a size 6, I think it would be too loose, especially in the the armholes. A size 2 would be too tight at the hips. I think this is a versatile item, even with the silk. It would work nicely for work under blazer or sweater, with jeans and a sweater, dressed up with a skirt and heels, or even dressy in the summer with a skirt some crisp white jeans.

What do you think of this top?

Have a great day!
