Trying to dress even moderately well ~ vaguely professional ~ in the city during summer is a challenge. You’re just always sweating. Sun beats the concrete with unrelenting heat, and cotton dresses can seem like wool cloaks. Everything you put on feels either too hot or too casual ~ so when you find something that’s breezy, un-clingy, and still reasonably chic, you buy two. I do.
