My Style, My Michele

In recent years, my style has become so streamlined that traveling is finally a breeze. Packing doesn’t stress me out anymore, because I’m so sure of what I like to wear ~ and it’s pretty much the same whether I’m at home or on the roam. I always want to feel elegant, distinctive, carefree, me. I’m having more fun getting dressed than ever before, because for the first time in my life it’s no longer about figuring out what works, it’s about fine-tuning the details. The confidence of really understanding myself (stylistically at least) has allowed me to invest in a few truly great pieces, rather than a ton of all-over-the-place stuff, and I’ve thus become extremely conscious of choosing items that offer major longevity and versatility.

If I’m buying less clothes (but better) than ever, the same is triply true for jewelry. I wear the same pieces everyday, and I like them each to be simultaneously understated and special. My most recent addition to the everyday equation is a classic Deco watch by Michele, which you’ve probably noticed popping up all over my London travel diaries. I got it right before the trip and really fell for it on the road.

I obviously love how totally timeless the face of it is, but am especially enamored with the interchangeable strap situation. That perfect balance of longevity and versatility! A traveler’s dream! I wore the black and gold bands all over London and Paris, and have already ordered brown and ivory backup options since returning home.

Converted to watch-wearing by its graceful ease, I’ve quickly become an evangelist for Michele’s charm. So much so in fact, that I’ll be hosting a little shopping party with them this Saturday, November 15th from 1-4pm at the Roosevelt Field Nordstrom store in Garden City, New York. Come and hang with us on the 1st floor, where we’ll be talking holiday shopping, customizing timepieces ~ and even giving a few away!.
