What is your go-to festival look?
Mine would probably be skinny jeans/denim shorts, a vintage rock tee, a bold floral kimono, some wellies and a few statement pieces of jewellery that I would probably have picked up from Primark. For this season, with the weather being a little warmer, I thought I would channel my girlie side and opt for a fun and flirty dress, pops of colour, of course sensible but cool footwear, and a statement headpiece, well it wouldn’t be a festival without wearing something silly now would it.
What I love about this look, other than how happy this tropical print shirtdress makes me from Gap, even when it starts to rain, has to be how comfortable I am not wearing wellington boots. I have a problem with not being able to find wellies that fit me well, they are always too big around the ankle, I seem to not be able to walk properly and they make my feet ache, maybe it is because I haven’t invested in quality, but I was so pleased to try out Sorel’s Slimshortie style. They are kind of part cowboy, part biker, with their full-grain waterproof leather they can take on any challenges of a festival, plus they will look great in winter as well.
To tie my boots into my look I added a tan belt, which really nips in this cute dress, and then to add a summer pop I went for this fun pompom headpiece from Asos, which is currently in the sale so snap it up quick, I just thought it looked perfect with my new specs from Kite, the yellow Shore Projects watch and my Rebecca Minkoff bag.
What do you think – would you wear this to a festival? Also have you tried out Sorel’s Slimshortie boots?
