wednesday white kitchen details

It’s cold season and today I have one at home under the weather. I’m planning to soothe her sniffles with some herbal peach tea and honey in a few minutes. Since we’re home all day, I’ll spend a good amount of time in the kitchen. Planning to make dinner ahead of time – the family’s favorite meatloaf recipe with spinach walnut salad and sauteed potatoes. I have to feed this crew like crazy since they’re all athletes and come home understandably starving.

Here are some lovely white details for your kitchen, starting with this shelf scene. Ahhh, white, stripes, textures, and galvanized pieces. Heaven.

In love with this white cheese board from Pizitz. Perfect for those of us who would love a touch of Carrara in the kitchen. Would also make a gorgeous wedding or house warming gift.

I’m quite taken with the whole galvanized line at Target. Starting with this tray. A million uses for this guy. Like the scene above, you could place a big white container with wooden spoons in it and lean the Carrara cutting board against the backsplash. A tiny vase with fresh flowers or greens would complete the picture.

Also digging this substantial galvanized container. I stare at it on every one of my 27 trips to Target each week. Perfect storage for those odds and ends that make their way into the kitchen or entry – like wet snow boots for those of you enduring the snow storms up North. I hear it’s brutal this week.

Oh – if anyone liked the sound of peach tea I mentioned earlier, it’s this one by Yogi. I picked it up with some fresh honey at the grocery store yesterday before school when my little one needed some comfort for her sore throat. Brewed it for her right there in my classroom ; )

This tea has a nice flavor and smells divine too. I had a cup myself while I was teaching ballet and several people came in and asked me what smelled so good!
