my new favorite holiday DIYs

I love the Holidays so much. They’re coming up fast, and this year I wanted to make sure I have lots of fun printables for everyone to celebrate the Holidays even if it’s at the last second, the day before, or the hour of. So let’s take a stroll through some of the new printables at Smallful that I’ve added over the last couple of days! (and I have more planned over the next few weeks too).

I had this vision of an all-white modern turkey for your Thanksgiving decor, and after several tries, I think I finally nailed it. This beauty is my current favorite – artistically speaking – and I hope you’ll find a home for it. Leave it white in all of it’s minimalist glory on the sideboard or dining table, or let the kids color all over it first for a more Jackson Pollock/Angelina Jolie approach to decorating. I’d love a series of several of them marching across my mantel.

Let’s move on to one of my favorite traditions: the Advent Calendar. I love giving little art supplies, hair barrettes, and treasure maps to a couple of larger items (like good books and other fun treats) for Birdie. I always include some sweet notes too – like declaring the day to be Hot Cocoa Day, or Pajama Day, and other fun family events. Now we have an advent calendar worthy of those traditions. The 24 boxes each feature a number on one side and a smiling face on the other – so you and the kiddos can choose just how to “decorate” it. Stacked together they form a Christmas tree, but they look just as nice stacked in rows on a shelf or table.

I also decided Willow the Paper Doll needed to have some more fashionable clothing options beyond her Super Hero and Scientist ensembles. So there’s a new set of winter fashions for her – and I’m planning a special holiday edition of Willow as well, stay tuned!
