DIARY // SOUTHSEA FEST
Mazes in front of ‘Kwik E Mart’
Jen and myself spent two days in Southsea to visit our ‘pompey’ friend Nicole, we arrived in the afternoon just in time for Southsea Fest, where we were welcomed super friendly because some people mistook us for the girls from Fear Of Men. We started the festival with a portion of amazing cheesy chips and some German beer that isn’t actually German, bumped into Danny, Max & Bobby from Proper Ornaments in a cornershop and watched a teeny bit of Ultimate Painting. We had to rush off to catch the set of our friends Life from Hull just down the road and ran into Theo Verney right after. Wide-eyed and full of cider by that point we headed to Nicole’s workplace the One Eyed Dog and enjoyed some heavy music and head-banging, which we followed up by shaking a leg to Mazes and continued to do so with the boys from Life to the DJ set by Mystery Jet & Peace. Sadly everything in Southsea closes by 2am so we had to end the night earlier than we wanted. More pics from our adventure are available here & here.
