Jen, you rock a lot of polka dots

I love my polka dot dress - sometimes I wear it with a long sleeve underneath and it reminds me of the black dress that Audrey Hepburn wears at the beginning of Sabrina. Plus, it covers a multitude of sins!
On Sunday the weather was super nice! Ceri & I took our bikes out to ride some errands and it was one of those out of the blue days where people greeted you to comment on how nice the weather was - I like it when things like that happen - we feel bonded together by coming out of the darkness (winter) and into the light. Literally!

Because we haven't had much luck with locking our bikes up, I've become super anxious about leaving my bike unattended. Which is no way to carry on! It's like leaving a child with babysitters - they might have great references but if something can go wrong - it inevitably will. Last year Ceri & I locked our bikes up outside the Library in the city centre, went to look at wedding bands and when we came back - Ceri's bike had been stolen. Colour me super not impressed - and the police were so not helpful!
But with the weather getting nicer, I'm going to want to cycle a whole lot more and so I'll have to get over this fear that my bike needs to constantly be in my line of sight!

I can't wait for Spring to really kick in, because as of yet I've had to watch that temperature like a hawk. We've had a mild hour here and there - then the wind picks up and cuts right through you! Not like last year at all when we had a mid summer blaze at the end of March. What I wouldn't give for a bit of heat stroke right about now!
On Sunday, Ceri & I went to the Something Kinda Vintage wedding fayre in the Coal Exchange, which would be a wonderful venue for a wedding except for the fact that it's in the "wrong end" of Cardiff Bay - the area that they're still to regenerate. But the Fayre it's self was by favourite by far! So many wonderful, small businesses and brilliant inspiration - I wanted to take al the flowers!

We had beautiful, fresh Macaroons from the Marmalade Cookery School, Ceri fell in love with a £500 cake from Heavenly Choc (think Choccy Woccy Do Dah), there were so many wonderful, beautiful stalls there that I thought - how much of this can I really be bothered to do on my own and can I just hire a professional to do it for me!? But I'm not sitting on an endless money pit.
