Make your own Easter Egg

One thing that always catches me out is finding awesome DIYs too late for the festival they're intended for. And I think I might be guilty of doing just that. But if you want to make your own Easter Egg ready for tomorrow, you might still have time!

This didn't turn out exactly like I'd planned it - but was still fun to do and super easy!

You'll need 150g of chocolate for 1 egg, and melt it - I prefer to melt chocolate over a pan of boiling water. I've come unstuck by sticking it in the microwave before and burnt the chocolate.

I got my egg moulds from a local kitchen shop for £1.80 each and intend of keeping them for future years! I coated them in a little bit of sunflower oil to make sure the chocolate didn't stick to the mould and would come out with ease

Coat the mould in a layer of chocolate, then put into the fridge for five minutes. Do this three more times to build up the egg. Then, coat the mould up over the sides and put the two moulds together and secure (I used super effective bobby pins!)

Then pop it back in the fridge for a while to set! Et Voila! You have your own Easter Egg.
I was going to put some icing flowers on it but I felt that would be gilding the lily a little bit but it's ready for Ceri to eat!
