The Mega-Combo

Isn't it funny how you can go all your life loathing any kind of fast movement - especially the running kind - and then, before you even realise it's happened, the "Sifter" has become a "Runner" and you're buying new running shoes because it was hurting your knees to run in your Chuck Taylors.
(Well, if you can call someone who plods a piddly 2kms a 'runner' then, yes, that is what this ex-Sifter has become.)
And isn't it funny how when you start moving faster, you start eating better, and you start being a bit more cheery and kinder to your kids. A lot more loving happens, and a lot less loathing.

It's like good-stuff dominoes all tumbling into each other.
For example, with the encouragement of some other busy-mamas, I've started doing the
30-Day Shred*. It's almost my birthday and I want to show the Middle-Aged Spread who's boss (hashtag 'goals'). And if I do it, I have some pretty sweet rewards lined up for myself (hashtag 'motivation').

See? Good stuff, tumbling. It's like a happiness mega-combo.
And it only takes one good-stuff domino to set the others off.
So maybe this is your time, too? Let's go, mamas! I'm so proud of how hard you're working - I'm truly cheering you on from the sidelines, I know how it is - but now is a great time to find some other mums and start moving, together, with some achievable goals and fabulous motivation. It really truly does make such a difference as a woman and as a mother.
Also, it's cheaper than therapy, right? ;)


*I really do love it! It's only 20ish minutes, easy to do at home, and makes you feel like a rippling BEAST after only a few days!
