Glazed Marsala Mushroom Recipe

What a fabulous topping for steak or even a baked potato! The faint flavor or marsala wine in these mushrooms just make them addictive. Saute until a golden crust is formed making the perfect side dish with any kind of meat you've prepared. Time and time again my family asks me to make them this way and they are so easy to make in no time with just a few ingredients.

The smell of these cooking makes the whole house smell fantastic and you just can't wait to eat them!
Here all you need:

2 lbs of sliced fresh mushrooms
3 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons butter
1/4 cup marsala wine
salt, pepper to taste
pinch of cayenne pepper or red pepper flakes
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon minced garlic in olive oil

In a large fry pan add the butter and oil on low heat until melted. Add the garlic, mushrooms, spices and wine and saute until they turn a crisp golden brown, around 10 minutes or so. Stir them and turning often.
Note most of the wine will reduce and glaze the mushrooms. You can add more if you like them all to crisp as some will not due to the thickness. Then continue to cook until they are glazed and darkened as the first photo.
