hill country style

Ok, I lied a bit. The trailin’ didn’t stop in Clarksdale, it actually ended in Oxford, MS at the North MS Hill Country Picnic. My favorite down home blues festival of all time. Plenty of posts on my blog from previous festivals FYI! We made it for the Friday night jams, just in time to see DuWayne Burnside (that would be R.L. Burnside’s son) and Kenny Brown (that would be R.L.’s “adopted” son).. The reason this is getting it’s own post, is because I am obsessed with DuWayne’s lil girl, who mimicked his every move on stage.. didn’t miss a beat!! She air guitar’d her drum stick, and tapped her foot the whole way through. DuWayne was completely oblivious. Cutest thing ever.
