Q&A with Teisha from INDAH organics

The name INDAH organics might ring a bell from our new beginnings giveaway a while back.
Well, I was so intrigued about these luxe, organic products that I just had to find out more about the
special soul behind it all - model and business buff – Teisha Lowry.

Hi there Teisha and welcome to Cohabitaire.
Tell us a bit about yourself -
what’s your background and what are you passionate about?

I was raised in the small outback-mining town of Kalgoorlie in Western Australia.
I trained to become a professional ballet dancer before I was model-scouted at the age of 18.
After lots of travel and some life-breaking lessons, I founded INDAH in 2008.
I’ve studied business and pr at RMIT and I have a masters in Aromatherapy,
however I like to use my profession as an Aromachologist,
where I get to play with different scents for a living.

In what ways does nature inspire you?

Flowers and plants are my thing, it’s amazing that pure plant oils can heel,
I love working with pure essential oils and I’m so in love with their aroma they produce.
I try and work harmoniously with humanity and the environment, by respecting Mother Nature
I try and give back to my community and I love to support organic farming and buy organic food.

I read the book Eat, Pray, Love and went to find the medicine man in hope he’d give me the answers
to healing my broken heart, I then accidently found a Balinese woman who taught me
so much more about using pure essential oils. I went off and studied business and returned to Bali
and started my passion – INDAH and established it as a business in 2008, making pure products.

INDAH is growing strong and we are now producing it in Australia as a certified organic range.
I’m fortunate enough to do what I love – I’m very passionate about INDAH,
because it’s like an extension of my personality, and that’s why its not just another beauty brand
sitting on the shelf, it’s everything that I love all rolled into one.

There are so many elements of running my business that I love, but mostly I like to know who my
customers are, I want to have a personal connection with them and help them help themselves.

If you had to choose any favourite INDAH products, what would they be and why?

Virgin Coconut Oil, it’s my No.1 beauty secret. I have been using this miracle oil for years,
it has worked wonders for my skin and it keeps my insides healthy too.
It’s organic, affordable, smells delish, you can eat it and cook with it.
It’s the base of all of my products, I use it as the base for the whole collection,
because it carries the ingredients into the bloodstream where it can detoxify and help replenish and renew cells.
