Quick Getaway to the Island

We didn't make our regularly scheduled trip to Orcas Island for the 4th of July this year. Our friends on the island had some scheduling conflicts so we'll head up later this summer.

Since we had taken the time off already, we decided to explore another local island: Whidbey Island!

It's a short ferry ride from where we live. But even though it's so close, we've never actually stayed over there. And although I've been a few different times, Greg has never actually been much further than the ferry docs. So we decided to use our time off to explore.

We stayed at a cute little Bed & Breakfast that we found online, purely by luck! It turned out to be a great B&B in a perfectly central location on the island.

We spent a few days driving around and taking in all of the landscape and nature. It was gorgeous! We can't wait to go back!
