How to make a fabric tassel garland…
The Fourth of July is just around the corner and it’s kind of crazy how fast it’s come up! I was so excited to team up with 6 other amazing bloggers to show some fun and easy Fourth of July projects! Welcome to everyone coming over from My Old Country House!
I wanted to do something a little non-traditional and use fabrics I had received from the project on this post. I used colors that were reminiscent of the 4th, but not quite that dead-on red, white and blue.
I made a fun fabric tassel garland.It was such an easy project to do and looks so cute. You could really do it for any occasion!
Cut your fabric into strips of 12 inches by 6 inches and then cut frays into them about 4 to 5 inches up, leaving room at the top.
Once your fabric is all cut into a fringe, you could leave it like that or continue on to make a tassel!
Roll your fabric and as you roll, you’ll see the tassel forming.
Once you have your tassel completely rolled,fold the top in half over a cord or twine and hot glue it into place.
Once you have enough for the length you need, they are ready to hang! I glued mine about 8 inches apart on twine.
I then used some of the fabric I had left to make a cute little tablecloth for my bistro table.
It was a pretty backdrop for some lemonade.
I even added an extra fabric tassel to help weigh the tablecloth down in the wind.
It makes a nice and colorful setting for a little Fourth of July soiree, and making a fabric tassel garland adds a nice pop of color too!
