Leopard spots and the Heartlands Series Roller Derby

Last weekend I went to watch the Norfolk Brawds play the Milton Keynes Concrete Cows as part of the Heartland Series roller derby league. There’a always such a party atmosphere at these bouts, even if the Brawds did lose. I did a bit of shopping, hung out with the awesome Carly Rowena, watched the skating action and even got my face painted.

The gorgeous wares on offer from Golden Unicorn Skate Emporium. As I write this I’m wearing some fantastic leggings from this stall. Watch this space for an outfit post soon.

What I’m wearing: Skirt – Cyberdog | Top & Cardigan – H&M | Necklace – Camden market

There’s something oddly satisfying about getting your face painted. I felt like a kid again. I leoparded about for most of the bout before heading to the pub, still feeling awesome.

If you’re interested in trying out Roller Derby for yourself, take a look here. It’s a great form of exercise and you get to meet some truly amazing people.

Here are some more pictures from the bout, taken by the hugely talented Pete Morely of MDP Images.
