Old Wives Tail Organic Hair Oil review

This hair oil is designed to give life to dry hair, soothe your scalp and prevent hair loss. It’s one of those products that everyone needs in their bathroom. Whether you want to cure an itchy scalp, ensure that your hair stays full and fabulous or whether you want to breathe life in to dry/bleached/damaged hair.

I’m definitely in the latter camp with bleached hair that certainly looks like it’s been through a lot. I know what a good hair oil can do for my hair but I’d never used one that you leave on your hair then wash out.

The Old Wives Tail oil is designed to be massaged into the scalp, just a few drops will do. Smoothe the rest over the lengths and ends of your hair and leave for an hour before rinsing out. Shampoo your hair as normal then apply a little conditioner to the ends of your hair.

I did this before I dyed my hair recently and it left the bleached ends of my hair looking so much healthier. It also, amazingly, left my faded red dye looking much more shiny. I’d definitely recommend this oil if you just want to give your hair a lift.

The ingredients in the oil are naturally anti-bacterial, which makes it perfect for anyone who suffers with an itchy scalp or simply wants to keep dandruff at bay.

If you want to make your hair grow faster, the oil promotes a healthy scalp and proper circulation. This leads to healthy hair growth and less chance of hair loss. Great news if you want longer, fuller hair – no matter your age.

You can make the treatment more intense by applying the oil as above, wrapping your hair in a towel and leaving it overnight. Something I intend to do now I have freshly dyed hair!
