summer sweater + skirt

Zara is famous for its end-of-season sales in Manhattan.

Picture crowds of product-starved women desperately checking:
1) for their size
2) if items are stained with makeup or completely destroyed
3) whether the line for the fitting room is too long. They recently started instituting a limit on how many items you can take into the fitting room. More than 7 items? Back to the end of the line, please.

This makes me wonder about how easily one can be deterred from a place so magically convenient (on-trend affordable fashion items) due to the overwhelming and exhausting shopping experience. The fast fashion wonderland becomes a black hole, forcing you to spend 30 minutes looking around the store, while picking through the damaged goods (which are plentiful), an extra 35 minutes waiting in the fitting room line, 20 minutes deciding if I really need that one pair of black boots, then eventually getting into the last line full of eager customers waiting their turn to pay.

With that being said, I scored this skirt for 50% off. Was it worth it? Yes.

Until next time, my friends.
