Welcome to the best of our Idea Gallery for July 2014! (See previous Round-Ups here) It’s so hard to believe that summer is almost over. Throughout the summer we have seen many breathtaking looks. Whether you’re looking for the perfect look for a day at the office, a romantic look for an evening with that special someone, or a dramatic look that will leave lasting impressions, you are sure to find what you want here.

Purple haze by szafkaaa

This stunning purple and grey smokey eye is ideal for when you want the smokey look with added color, perfect for enhancing green/hazel eyes.

Products Used: Makeup Geek Eye Shadows in Bling, Corrupt, Stealth, Vanilla Bean, White Lies, Wisteria, Rock Star, Makeup Geek Gel Liner in Amethyst

  • Use a small dome brush and place Stealth in the outer 1/3 of the eye and slightly into the crease.
  • Pat Wisteria where the Stealth leaves off and bring in the leaving the inner 1/3 of the upper lid empty.
  • Wipe off your brush and pat Rock Star over the inner 1/3 that you left blank.
  • Go back and touch up the crease with Stealth.
  • Use a fluffy brush and Vanilla Bean to blend out any harsh lines from the Stealth.
  • Place White Lies above the Vanilla Bean and under the brow as your highlight.
  • Darken the outer v with Corrupt.
  • Smudge Amethyst under the entire lower lash line and line the upper lash line as well.
  • Smudge Stealth under the outer 1/3 of the eye over the Amethyst.
  • Add a pop of Bling to the inner corner of the eye.
  • Pat Corrupt over the lower waterline, curl your lashes and add mascara.

Everyday Look by KlauRightNow

Ideal for when you are running short on time but still want to look amazing, this look is easy to recreate and only uses 4 shades. Perfect for a day at the office or running errands.

Products Used: Makeup Geek Eye Shadows in Beaches and Cream, Chickadee, Burlesque, Last Dance

Other Products Needed: Makeup Geek Gel Liner in Immortal

  • Pat Last Dance over the lower lid coming up past the crease.
  • Use a fluffy brush and blend out any harsh lines with Beaches and Cream.
  • Add depth to the outer corner by adding Burlesque with a small dome brush.
  • Smudge Chickadee under the eye and add to the inner corner as well.
  • Line the upper lash line with Immortal creating a wing at the edge.
  • Curl your lashes, add mascara and add your favorite mascara or a set of accent lashes to finish.

Pocahontas by inka2504

Inspired by the Indian Princess, this sultry eye adds a pop of color to the otherwise neutral look.

Products Used: Makeup Geek Eye Shadow in Bada Bing, Crème Brulee, Poolside, Shimma Shimma, Makeup Geek Pigment in Liquid Gold, Maybelline Colossal Volume Express Mascara, NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk.

Other Products Used: Maybelline Color Tattoo in Satin Taupe

  • Use a stiff fluffy brush and sweep Satin Taupe over the lower lid coming up slightly past the crease.
  • With a clean brush add Crème Brulee above the Satin Taupe feathering out any harsh lines.
  • Use a small dome brush and Bada Bing to darken the crease of the eye and add depth.
  • Gently pat a small amount of Liquid Gold over the center of the lower lid staying below the crease.
  • Smudge Poolside under the lower lash line.
  • Add a pop of Shimma Shimma to the inner corner of the eye.
  • Line the lower waterline with NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk.
  • Curl your lashes and add your favorite mascara, here the artist used Maybelline Colossal Volume Express.

Golden Goddess by makeupbyhilary

Products Used: Laura Geller Calligraphy Liquid Liner, MAC’s Amber Lights, Nylon, Painterly Paint Pot, Makeup Geek’s Cocoa Bear, Corrupt, Peach Smoothie, Vanilla Bean, Urban Decay Black Velvet Eyeliner.

Makeup Geek Alternatives: Glamorous, Bling, Immortal

  • Prime the eye with MAC Painterly Paint Pot, or your favorite primer.
  • Pat Amber Lights or Makeup Geek’s Glamorous over the lower lid staying below the crease.
  • Sweep Peach Smoothie into the crease with a fluffy brush.
  • Use a smaller fluffy brush and darken the crease with Cocoa Bear.
  • Use Vanilla Bean to blend out any harsh lines from the Peach Smoothie.
  • Line the lower waterline and lash line with Urban Decay Black Velvet Liner or Makeup Geek’s Immortal
  • Smudge Cocoa Bear under the lower lash line and blend out the color with a clean brush.
  • Line the upper lash line with Laura Geller Calligraphy Liquid Liner or Makeup Geek’s Immortal.
  • Add a touch of MAC’s Nylon or Makeup Geek’s Bling to the inner corner of the eye.
  • Curl your lashes, add mascara and your favorite soft lashes to finish the look.

  • Sweep Unexpected into the crease of the eye and blend upward.
  • Gently pat Last Dance on the inner and outer 1/3 of the lower lid and go back in with Unexpected to blend out any lines.
  • Darken the inner and outer part of the eye with Drama Queen.
  • Pat Liquid Gold over the center of the lower lid.
  • Go back in and buff out the crease of the eye.
  • Use Cinderella to blend where the Liquid Gold meets the Drama Queen.
  • Smudge Last Dance under the eye coming in all the way then darken the inner and outer corners with Drama Queen.
  • Line the upper and lower waterlines with Immortal.
  • Curl your lashes, add mascara and lashes to finish.

  • Smudge Neptune under the eye coming in all the way.
  • Darken the outer 1/2 of the lower lash line with Nautica.
  • Line the lower waterline with Electric and the upper lash line with Immortal creating a winged edge.
  • Add a pop of Shimma Shimma on the inner corner.
  • Curl your lashes, add mascara and your favorite lashes to finish.

  • Pat Vanilla Bean over the lower lid staying below the crease.
  • Use a small dome brush and swirl Latte on the outer 1/3 of the eye and into the crease blending out any harsh lines.
  • With a smaller dome brush, use Mocha to darken the crease and add depth.
  • Smudge Mocha under the eye coming in all the way.
  • Sweep Vanilla Bean under the brow as your highlight.
  • Create a winged line on the upper lash line with ELF Black Liquid Liner or Makeup Geek’s Immortal and set by patting Corrupt over it.
  • Line the lower waterline with Corrupt or Immortal.
  • Add a pop of Vanilla Bean on the inner corner of the eye.
  • Curl your lashes and add mascara to complete the look.

  • With a mixing medium or contact solution, dampen a flat brush and gently pat Enchanted over the lower lid staying below the previous colors.
  • Smudge Corrupt along the upper and lower lash lines and extend the color on the upper lash line creating a wing.
  • Blend our any lines from the Corrupt on the lower lash line with Mocha.
  • Line the upper and lower waterlines with Immortal.
  • Add a touch of Shimma Shimma to the inner corner of the eye and under the brow as your highlight.
  • Curl your lashes, add mascara and a set of false lashes for a stunning look.

  • Smudge a combination of Wisteria and Fairytale under the eye coming in all the way.
  • Darken the outer 1/3 of the under eye with Duchess.
  • Line the lower waterline with Electric.
  • Curl your lashes, add mascara and a set of soft wispy lashes.

  • Pat White Lies over the inner 1/3 of the upper and lower lash line.
  • Follow by gently patting Wisteria over the next 1/3 of the upper lid and smudging under the rest of the lower lash line.
  • Use a small dome brush and place Bitten in the outer 1/3 of the eye. Without picking up any more color, bring what’s left on your brush into the crease slightly.
  • Use a clean brush to buff out any harsh lines.
  • Line the upper lash line with Immortal keeping the color close to the lashes.
  • Curl your lashes, add mascara and your favorite lashes to finish.

Vegas Lights by candykiller

Dark and sultry, this dramatic look is easy to do and a perfect way to showcase our Vegas Lights pigment.

Products Used: Makeup Geek Eye Shadow in Last Dance, Makeup Geek Pigment in Vegas Lights

  • Carefully place Last Dance on the outer 1/3 of the eye and bring the color into the crease blending upward.
  • Use a clean brush to blend out any harsh lines.
  • Smudge the same color under the eye coming in 1/2 of the way.
  • With a flat, stiff brush, pat Vegas Lights on the lower lid staying below the crease color and making sure to blend where the 2 shades meet.
  • Use a small smudge brush and run Vegas Lights under the lower lash line where the Last Dance left off making sure to blend where the colors meet.
  • Add a pop of Shimma Shimma to the inner corner of the eye and under the arch of the brow.
  • Line the upper lash line with Immortal creating a winged effect.
  • Curl your lashes, add a good mascara or a set of dramatic lashes for a breathtaking look.

  • Use a flat brush to gently pat New Year’s Eve over the Sensuous.
  • Add a pop of Shimma Shimma to the inner corner and under the arch of the eye.

  • Wipe off your brush and pat White Lies over the inner 1/3 and in the inner corner.
  • Smudge the same white under the inner 1/3 of the lower lid.
  • Wipe off your brush and smudge Appletini under the rest of the eye.
  • Line the waterline with Mystic.
  • Curl your lashes, add mascara and false lashes for a amazing look.
