Hi ladies! I have been extremely busy with work lately (doing 6 days a week with one single day off) but I'm trying my very best to catch up with the blog. :) Yesterday I had some time to play with
Born Pretty Store water decals.
I started with a coat of
China Glaze V which is a lovely, pale pastel like orange with a hint of brick red. For the gradient I used
China Glaze Pelican Gray and V, sponging it on with my trusted kitchen sponge piece. As V is quite intense, it required two sponging times to get Pelican Gray to look opaque.
The water decals I chose to use for this look come with lovely doily patterns as well as leopard design. The decals can be used as a full nail design but I cut them into sections and only used the doilies, as the leopard seemed a bit too much for me. You can see the full design
here.
The decals are quite thin, thinner than I have used before but they were quite easy to apply with the help of tweezers. I managed to wrinkle a couple of the patterns but it isn't too obvious in these designs. I would advice very gentle applying, especially if you like to move the decal around on the nail. The thin decal can wrinkle and even smear. For the finishing touch, I dotted
China Glaze Aquadelic randomly on the nails to add a splash of color. :)
