Gabrielle “Coco” Chanel is known for many things including freeing women from confining corseted dresses, introducing the simple little black dress, and creating an unforgettable scent that women adore. That scent is Chanel No. 5 and it was created in 1921. The fragrance received its single digit moniker because it was the fifth submission of the fragrance that was selected to be the brand’s fragrance – a simple name for a signature perfume. The Chanel No. 5 perfume film “The One That I want” stars
Gisel Bündchen. It’s directed by
Baz Luhrmann and styled by his wife Oscar-winning
Catherine Martin, who brought
The Great Gatsby to life on the big screen.
This isn’t the first film that Luhrmann has directed a film for the fragrance. In 2004, he directed the campaign starring Nicole Kidman. He joins a bevy of other prestigious filmmakers to work with the French label including Ridley Scott and Martin Scorsese.
The perfume campaign releases on October 15. Meanwhile, watch the teaser above. I Can’t wait! Tick tock, tick tock.
