Red Velvet Truffles…

Red Velvet Truffles:They are a bit faffy but SO worth it!

I made these the other das as a tester for Christmas day as Liam & my Mum are doing most of the savoury food, I wanted to make something nice & sweet that everyone can nibble on, on the day that won’t fill them up too much & so they’ll still have plenty of room for our baked cheesecake that were planning ^_^

Ingredients:
3/4 tub of cream cheese frosting (can find it in all supermarkets :))
x4 small bars of white chocolate
x1 small bar of milk chocoate
red velvet cake (good recipe here>>link)

Recipe: 1. Bake yourself a red velvet cake (this recipe is pretty damn good>>LINK.)
2. After the cake is baked & has cooled, start crumbling it into a bowl, you want it to be crumbled, but not all mushed together.
3. Use about 3/4 of the tub of cream cheese frosting & start to mix it into the crumbs, you will need to use your hands to work it through the mix completely.
4. Once the cream cheese frosting is distributed & the mix is fairly wet, you can start to make your balls!
5. Gently roll the mixture into as many balls as possible, (mine are about an inch wide) & place onto a tray/plate covered in foil.
6. Once you have rolled all your balls & placed them on to foil, pop them in the freezer for 45 minutes just to harden them up a little so they stay firm enough for you to dip in melted chocolate.
7. 45 minutes is up, take your balls out of the freezer & start melting some white chocolate!
8. Once the chocolate is melted, start to roll the velvet balls through it using a fork to dip them around & completely cover them then place them back onto the tinfoil.
9. Once they are all covered & placed back onto the tinfoil, pop them in the fridge until the chocolate hardens.
10. Start to melt a bar of milk chocolate then drizzle over the truffles, don’t worry about being to precise, the messier, the better!
11. Stick them back in the fridge for about 20 mins so the milk chocolate can harden.
12. GRUBS UP! Let the feast begin!
