Silvia’s wedding and the most famous shoes in the World

Today we will share Silvia and Alvaros’s wedding with all of you. They are an adorable couple who transmit good feeling and happiness. You can’t miss the pictures or the story of how they experienced one of the most important days of their lives. As they said, the wedding of their dreams!

Silvia tried on over 30 wedding dresses, but in the end she decided the Cordoba model was her dress! It was the perfect gown to show her beautiful Manolo Blahnik’s, something very special to her and she looked stunning! Here are the pictures!

Where did you get married?

It was a civil ceremony held in the garden of the “Don Carlos” Hotel in Marbella. My husband and I have lived in Madrid for the last few yeas but he’s originally from Málaga and I’m from Cádiz. For this reason our wedding had to be back at home, very close to the sea and the ceremony, apperitive, the dinner and the party were outdoors. We got what we wanted!

Where did you get ready for the big day?

In the Málaga suite. It was located on the top floor with spectacular sea views. Being close to the sea for our wedding was very important to us.

How and where did you find your Rosa Clará gown?

It was very hard for me to find my dress… I tried on over 30 dresses and visited dozens of designers all over Madrid, but this was my dress. The Córdoba model from the Rosa Clará Collection . And it was not a dress! It was a skirt and a body! I spent all night telling that to all the guests lol. Spectacular and very comfortable.

How and where did you find your dress?

On Velázquez street in Madrid. From the moment I walked through the door Vicky treated me wonderfully and made me feel very comfortable and after trying on several dresses we knew that my dress had to be different.

What made you decide on this model? Was it the dress you had always imagined?

I had never imagined my wedding dress, indeed, I never thought about getting married! I wanted something comfortable, stylish -I don’t want to be horrified when I look back at my wedding pictures in 20 years. In addition, I wanted to show my shoes! I’m editor of the fashion blog “El blog de Silvia” and shoes are my passion.

Did you have any alterations made to your dress, or did you prefer to wear the original design?

Yes! We cut the front part to reveal those fantastic Manolo Blahniks (Hangisi model in blue). The infamous Carrie Bradshaw wedding shoes from Sex and the City. As a mistress of fashion-I could not wear any other shoe!

Which accessories did you use? (shoes, jewelry …)

I wore my engagement ring, a solitary diamond that my boyfriend gave me on our trip to Tokyo seven months earlier. The earrings were a gift from my mother and the hair brooch headdress that belonged to my husband’s great grandmother. Of course I had to wear my Manolos in memory of my father who has the same name.

Which flowers did you have in the bouquet? Who did you give the bouquet to?

My bouquet had white and very pale pink peonies, I didn’t want to add more colors since my shoes stood out so much. I gave it to my grandmother who was ill in Cadiz and could not come to Marbella.

I asked the florist to make a mini bouquet and I gave one to each of my best friends.

Where was the reception held?

The dinner was held at the same beach club hotel, around the pool. The weather was great that day so we could go down to the sea.

Do you remember any special or funny moment?

Many, but one moment that I will never forget was when the ceremony was over and my husband said “run”! And we ran through the garden up behind some trees where we hugged and kissed briefly before greeting all our guests.

Do you have any advice for furture brides?

Don’t listen to anyone, other than yourself, what you decide is what you will enjoy and what you’ll remember forever. It doesn’t matter if you have special touches or less, the location or the thousand things that surround this day. The important thing is to be happy and smiling from the moment you wake up until the last minute of the day and enjoy every moment since it flies by very quickly.

Who was your photographer?

Instantanea y toma primera, and I would repeat them a thousand times. We looked and looked forphotographers and everyone seemed very boring and as the same until we met Mayte, I knew it had to be them.

These pictures make you smile, right?

We hope you like them!
