May & June Favourites & Empties 2014

Wow, it’s been two months since my last Favourite & Empties post As you can tell, I’m struggling to get back into the swing of things, going on vacation always seems to throw me off, especially when I try and balance it with work!

Excuses aside, I have four favourite to show you, but you’ll need to watch the video for those And a ton of empties, after all it had been 2 months! Hope you enjoy the video

Maybelline FIT Me Pressed Powder – 120
If you’re looking for a powder that give just a tiny bit of coverage, but mostly just helps smooth our your complexion without completely mattifying your face then this might be worth looking into.

Repurchase? Maybe

Sephora Dramatic Volume Mascara
Threw it out before it became a true empty, brush was too big for my liking and the formula was so thick that my lashes became very clumpy and spiderery

Repurchase? No

YSL Baby Doll Mascara
Perfect sized brush, gave incredible length and above average volume for my upper and lower lashes. Will definately pick up a pack next time I go through Duty Free.

Repurchase? Yes

Lancome Hypnose Mascara – Noir
My one true mascara love, I’ve probably been through 4-5 tubes of this already.

Repurchase? Yes

Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion – Eden
Does the job, my eyeshadow didn’t crease at all, but it does provide quite strong pigmentation, so only good if that’s what you’re looking for.

Repurchase? Maybe

Tarte Lifted Natural Eye Primer
Another good eye primer that did it’s job, but the straight wand head made it difficult to feel like I was getting my money’s worth in product.

Repurchase? No

Amore Pacific Treatment Toner
Standard toner that works like many other cheaper toners, but it comes with a very heavy perfume scent, not something I personally find appealing in a toner.

Repurchase? No

Bobbi Brown Brightening Moisture Cream
I didn’t find this moisturiser particularly brightening nor moitsursing at that, not a huge fan.

Repurchase? No

Bobbi Brown Extra Repair Serum
The sample was a bit too small to see any long term effects, but it felt nice on the skin and if I didn’t have any other serums to try I might give the full sized version a go.

Repurchase? Maybe

Neutrogena Oil-Free Eye Makeup Remover
This is defintely not an oil-free eye makeup remover, my eyes were incredible oily afterwards. But since I do have dry skin and frankly it did do a really great job at removing eye makeup, and it didn’t sting my eyes either, I probably will pick myself up another bottle. It’s similar to Clinique and Lancome’s dual phase makeup remover, only much cheaper

Repurchase? Yes

NARS Makeup Cleansing Oil
It did the job, removed my makeup without any complaints, but I still prefer the Bobbi Brown and Shu cleansers just a bit more.

Repurchase? No

Biore Marshmellow Face Wash – Smooth
So much fun to use and love that this foam cleanser is extremely gentle on my dry skin. Didn’t leave my skin feeling dry or stripped of moisture at all. Not to be used as a makeup remover however.

Repurchase? Yes

The Body Shop Japanese Cherry Blossom Bath & Shower Gel
Good all round shower gel. In terms of quality I find all The Body Shop shower gels to be similar, it’s mostly the type and strength of the scent that differs. I enjoys the scent for this one, and loved that it wasn’t too over powering.

Repurchase? Yes

Head & Shoulders Anti-dandruff Shampoo
Average shampoo, but even when I have dandruff I don’t find it does a great job. The Neutrogena T-Gel does a much better job (though the experience may not be as fantastic in the shower lol)

Repurchase? No

Pantene Aqua Light Shampoo & Conditioner
Didn’t do anything but leave my hair feeling stripped and average. I’ve heard it’s good for people with thin hair, as opposed to my overly thick hair so that might be way.

Repurchase? No

Wen Cleansing Conditioner – Sweet Almond Mint
It was nice, but had a very strong scent in the shower that fortunately didn’t linger too far beyond the shower. Did leave my hair feeling soft and silky, so I may consider it if I ever easily come across it in the shops.

Repurchase? Maybe

Succo di Candela Juice Candle – Watermelon
I can’t say no to watermelon or lychee scented candles, nuff said.
