bareMinerals READY Eyeshadow 4.0 – The Truth Review, Swatches and Photos

A few weeks before taking off on my last trip to the US I remembered TiffanyD mentioned her love for this particular bareMinerals READY Eye shadow quad in The Truth. Having never tried bareMinerals eye shadows before and looking for any excuse to add more to my shopping list (like I needed it), I wrote it on and decided to try it out for myself.

Eye shadow quality wise? Loved it, its buttery smooth, pigmented and glides on the lids perfectly. Blending? Not a problem, blends like a dream! The shadows are on the darker side of the neutral spectrum personally for my everyday (work) use (I’m more a fan of matte peach / beige shades because I’m really adventurous and interesting that way), but this is still a stunning nude eye shadow palette, yet another choice for us neutral lovers.

Packaging however is pretty subjective. It does come with a nice big mirror, which makes application easy, a dual ended sponge tip applicator which I don’t personally use (I tend to remove them all from my palettes to make travel / usage easier)

The outer packaging however is like rubber, think NARS. Makes them easier to handle, but they tend to pick up powder and finger prints extremely easily. It’s a personal preference, I don’t really mind too much as I have a weird tendency to wipe down makeup I use at the end of the week when I’m watching TV or reading (keeps my hands busy).

If you’re keen, I picked this at Sephora for $30USD.
