Imagery ~ Seoul, South Korea

After our ventures through Japan, we decided to make a detour up to Seoul, South Korea before heading back to Singapore. It was the first time I’d ever visited Korea before so I was both excited and nervous. Safe to say there are some parts of Korea I truly loved and others I could do without. I have to admit that my favourite part was visiting the DMZ, I’m a sucker for war history and learning about all the difficulties that South Korea and North Korea have gone through together, it really left me in awe. Especially when we managed to walk through the 3rd tunnel, it was just surreal to know people were actually here, digging these very tunnels.

I was impressed that within such a small amount of time we were able to visit a array of different places such as N Seoul Tower, Gangham, Namdaemun Market, Gyeongbok Palace etc

Admittedly I did find the city areas to be a bit of a culture shock, especially after having just spent a week in Japan. The shift in attitude was quite a dramatic one.

One thing I did learn about Korea is how amazing the landscape is if you venture further out of the city. So if I ever were to return to Korea, I would definitely be keep to rent a car and explore what else lies beyond the borders of Seoul
