Chanel Le Vernis – 613 Eastern Light Review, Swatches and Photos

I’m not sure why, but over the last couple of months I’ve had a strange obsession with white nail polish. It reminds me of a French manicure, but nowhere near the effort involved! For a while now I’ve been using a tiny bottle of OPI Alpine Snow, which I love and is perfect for travel, unfortunately it’s starting to dry up and is half empty now So like any respectable beauty blogger, I saw this as the perfect opportunity to look for more polish to play with

Cue Chanel Le Vernis’ Eastern Light. A lot of people are going to think shelling out of a Chanel polish for a simple white polish is a waste of money, and they are probably right. Don’t get me wrong, this is a beautiful polish and the formula is lovely! But if you’re looking to get value for money, then you certainly don’t need to be going down the Chanel path for a pretty generic shade. Generally speaking, for the average person, I’d only recommend going down the luxury road if they have a particular shade you couldn’t find anywhere else (FYI I’m not the average person when it comes to beauty… clearly…)

That aside, the formula for this is amazing, two coats is more than enough to achieve full opacity. Unfortunately without a top coat there is a tendency to start chipping the day after, so definitely seal this up with some top coat.
