a golden glow

Oh, how badly I want to catch some moments of time by the tail and hold on tight! Tayeh's growing up so fast now and it's wonderful to watch her progress into a full-fledged puppy dog but sometimes I need a little reminder of her original shape and size :) These photos were taken last month when the leaves were in autumnal transition. Such a fragile and symbolic state on both counts. Our gooey, fluffy innocent was about to morph into a little juvenile delinquent --- her coat is changing and some seasonal shedding has begun. As the coldest season of the year is ushered in we watch the trees lose their luscious leaves, almost entirely exposing a more sculptural form. Jagged and meandering their way to the skies above; the branches have started to prepare themselves for the first snowfall of the season.

I have a feeling that our baby girl is embracing her changes without noticing them at all but I, on the other hand, have watched with warming sentiment. Combing through our arsenal of photo memorabilia simmers my heart in a slow burn sweetness. Transformations are everywhere right now, and that means moving forward is inevitable. Being present, in the moment is good...especially when there's the opportunity to reminisce here and now.
I hope everyone who celebrated Thanksgiving yesterday is getting to go into baste mode today; just relaxing and kicking back over the rest of the weekend. Have a great one all! ♥
