8 Real Wedding Details You’ll Want to Steal

Handmade Wedding Blog | Emmaline Bride® - Handmade wedding blog for detail-obsessed brides.

Hi, there. One of our goals at Emmaline Bride is to show you real wedding details you can actually do. As in, real wedding details that are totally attainable, easy-to-find and can be done yourself (without driving you crazy). In this feature, you’ll find eight real wedding details you will want to steal use for your own big day, including a darling bridesmaid dress, a help-yourself beverage station, stay warm basket, and more. I know your time is valuable, so I’m keeping it to eight.

But by now you know me enough to know that, if you let me, I would share eighty. As Sweet Georgia Brown would tell ya,

ain’t nobody got time for that.

So, here are the totally gorgeous handpicked wedding details I’ve discovered.

And you are going to want to steal each one.

Don’t say I didn’t warn you!

Real Wedding Details to Steal: Laura & Josh

1. These incredibly cute bridesmaid dresses.

I’ve never seen a wedding where the bridesmaids looked so darn stylish. Wear-again? Absolutely. Those Peter Pan collars are so cute.

Finally, a bridesmaid dress that doesn’t look like your typical dress.

2. These milk bottles lemonade container mojitos bar.

And those straws. I’ve seen countless other beverage bars, but this one looks so appealing.

Or maybe I’m just thirsty.

Either way, those straws look oh-so-cute in milk bottles, the mason jar’s younger, sassier kid sister.

3. Keep Warm Blanket Basket

The idea of a blanket basket for guests to grab if they get chilly is not a new one. However, it’s all about the way you put it all together. The basket has to look inviting, the blankets must look cozy, and it has to be pulled together in such a way that guests feel like they really can help themselves. This one is perfect.

And, plaid fleece? Get out. My fall favorite.

4. Late Night… Chocolate

At first glance, you see a delightful wedding reception table setting. Look closely and you’ll see… why, yes, a late night chocolate candy.

I love this because it’s the fun of a wedding favor, but one that guests don’t feel obligated to take home. Instead, they enjoy it at your wedding as a late snack, on a quick break from the dance floor during We Are Family while sipping on white wine. You know, just in time for the hustle. Or maybe that’s just me.

5. Taper Candles

I love the vintage touch of the silver candelabras and taper candles, scatted along the table in larger pairings and single tapers. This is a beautiful alternative to full floral centerpieces and works especially well for long reception tables.

6. Soft, Billowy Draped Ceiling

To soften any look, white billowy curtains will do the trick. The drapery in this wedding brought such a soft elegance to its decor.

7. Petals Strewn to One Side of the Aisle

Instead of petals strewn down the center, they put them just along the side.

8. Modern, Elegant Wedding Cake

This two-tiered cake is a thing of beauty. And, that pedestal stand is a must!
