Postcard: Let’s Go To The Ex!
It’s labor day weekend and you know what that means? Summer’s over. Growing up we’d go every year to the Ex on the long weekend to see the air show, my dad was obsessed. It was our one day a year (my brother and I) to binge on junk food. We’d get there as soon as the park opened at 9 and stay till our feet couldn’t carry us anymore, sleeping the whole drive home.
I hadn’t been in a few years so this year, on the precipice of a big birthday I thought, ‘dammit, let’s go!’ Funny how things are always so much better when you remember them. I had to laugh though because the Ex was my first paying job when I was 16. I worked in the food court and it was two weeks of twelve-hour days beside, but what felt like inside, a pizza oven.
But seriously, the zip line is back, and it’s so worth it!
