GARTERIZED

I'm currently in lust with this sweet Raf Simons garterized trench from his Spring Summer 2008 collection. I recently acquired this beautiful archival piece courtesy of one of my consignors. It's a tad small on me that's why I prefer wearing it open. Typically, I wear a size 46 but oddly this Raf Simons jacket fits pretty snug. I could actually close it but I don't want to look bloated like the Michelin man. Also, it's impossible to ignore the jacket's noticeable wear. But it doesn't really matter since its distressed look gives it some undeniable character.
As they say, save the best for last. So I did. I wore this fantastic piece of Raf on the last day of Philippine Fashion Week. Dressed it down with my Raf tee and DH raw denims. And finished the number with my very butch Dior Homme boots circa Hedi Slimane. Lately, I'm trying my best to brighten my wardrobe. So I'm carefully adding some reds and blues to my mostly monochromatic closet.
