WRINKLED DENIM

I have a confession: I almost never iron. Fact is, I HATE ironing. So over the years I’ve developed a technique of hanging my washed clothes in such a “perfect” way that I don’t have to iron them once they are dry. I’ve lived to perfectioning this technique, and I’m confident to say, I’ve succeeded. Almost…

Cause I realized this doesn’t work for most of my denim clothes, nor Thomas’ shirts. Hence, in reality, I do iron, but not a piece of clothing more than necessary! I hate it to a point where there’s no way around the many dry, perfectly hanged, but wrinkled, shirts and jeans. I have to give in, there is no way out at this point. So here I am, setting up my iron board, plugging in the iron, and with the worst mood you can imagine I’m working my way through the pile. Magically I get ultimately relaxed while doing this, and I’m thinking “this isn’t so bad”. After I finished I feel pretty satisfied, and truth to be told, freshly clothes make me happy – anyone sharing this fetish…

Now I hear you think “how in the world is it possible that she’s wearing a wrinkled denim shirt after all these trivial ironing-words”. Well, as it turns out, I think ironing is fine and can be pretty relaxing, but when I have a 30 minutes “extra” during the day, I rather spend it on the kids, cook Thomas, or my blog. Which I think is a wise choice, and I believe you will forgive me for going out in wrinkled denim, don’t you?
