Save Space & Look Fab: Holiday Appropriate Multi-Tasking Products

This week I've been talking about all things holiday, banging on about products that are small enough to fit in your hand luggage and perform more than one task. However, it's hard to pick out products that can perform multiple functions when presented with a sea of things you rely on. I've handpicked a few that I'll be taking with me on holiday this summer - all of which are small enough to justify a place in your case, plus affordable and truly effective. If I could only pack six beauty product for a trip to the beach, then these would be it...

1. Dr Organic Moroccan Argan Oil Liquid Gold (£14.49)
This multi-purpose 'super food' for the hair, skin, nails and lips delivers a 'moisture repairing, cell regenerating, nourishing and balancing action.' Basically, it's a one-size-fits-all oil that you can use in your hair to aid styling, as a finishing product on dry ends, as a facial serum and overnight treatment, as well as targeted care for dry skin after being out in the sun. If you're seriously short of space, then packing this lightweight oil will be the answer to everything.

2. Dr PawPaw Tinted Peach Balm (£6.95)
An updated version of the original, this tinted version still provides the moisturising and soothing properties of the papaya plant but with a hint of colour. It can be used on lips and cheeks, simultaneously hydrating while adding a touch of tint, or even to soothe irritation or sunburn - perfect if you've been eaten by bugs or spent too long on the beach. Even though this is tinted, it's not strong enough to show up hugely on limbs so can still be used at the end of the day without feeling like you've caught the measles.

3. Alfresco Anti Bug Bite Moisturiser (£12.50 for 2 x 50ml)
One of the most genius brands I've discovered this year, Alfresco offer a range of body and hair products (including this body moistuuriser) that also include insect repellant. The ingredients are non-toxic and smell really quite pleasant, offering a citrus and uplifting scent that actually keeps bugs at bay. If you hate getting eaten by mozzies when abroad, then apply this daily for soft skin that's also clear from bits; they even do a shampoo and conditioner for added protection!

4. Clinique Chubby Stick Cheek Crayons (£19.00)
Available in four colours, these handy crayons are creamy, oil-free and enable super easy application and a fuss-free finish. They're perfect for travelling because of their space-concious packaging, as well as adding a touch of colour to both cheeks and lips; there's no need to pack any lip colour when you've got one of these chunky chappies to hand.

5. Clarins Instant Smooth Perfecting Touch (£26.00 for a full sized version)
This little pot is a stroke of genius from Clarins, as the super velvety formula glides on skin to smooth imperfections and create a 'blurred' effect that's great when you're having holiday 'no makeup' days. It simultaneously acts as a primer for when you do want to add a touch of base, as well as moisturising the skin to keep it feeling fab.

6. Elizabeth Arden Flawless Future Eye Gel (£35.00)
Part of their new skincare collection aimed at the 'first signs of ageing', this cooling eye gel helps to brighten tired eyes while refreshing the skin. It works instantly to lift the under-eye area, while helping to reduce signs of fine lines over time too. It's great when applied directly from the fridge, so pop it in the mini bar overnight for a great morning treat.

Do you have any favourite multi-functional products you always take on holiday?
