MAKE UP FOR EVER HD Pressed Powder Review

MAKE UP FOR EVER HD Pressed Powder is one of the newest additions to the HD line, which is perfect for touching up on-the-go. They reinvented their best-selling HD Microfinish Loose Powder by creating a pressed version of it to offer a quick and simple solution to a “camera-ready” society.

MAKE UP FOR EVER HD Pressed Powder

HD Pressed Powder is a talc-free, silky, lightweight finishing powder that offers the same benefits of HD Microfinish Loose Powder, but in a purse friendly pressed compact. The formula boasts a combination of premium powders; silica, vinyl crosspolymer and Micro & Spherical. These help soften the appearance of fine lines and pores and give a soft focus and slight mattifying effect on the skin.

HD Pressed Powder is offered in one universal shade and designed to work for every skin tone from light to deep, with sheer flawlessness and perfection. It is completely translucent on the skin and ideal for creating a chalk-free, HD compatible finish.

Pro Application tip: A little goes a long way. Buff a small amount of HD Pressed Powder into the skin in a downward and outward motion using the super soft, synthetic fibers of the NEW Kabuki Artisan Brush #124 to set foundation and even out complexion.

My thoughts and review

I like this powder as much as my HD Loose Powder, but the travel friendly compact makes it that much more lovable. I’ve travelled with the loose powder and made a mess of the product. It still performs well, but it’s much better kept at home.

The new HD Pressed Powder version has a sturdy and sleek feeling exterior and large interior mirror. It is less finely milled but can be used interchangeably with the HD Mircofinish Loose Powder for the same effect. Bottom line, if you are a fan of the original HD Loose Powder, this will not disappoint!

Available exclusively at Sephora, Sephora.ca and MAKE UP FOR EVER Boutiques (since February 2014).

Have you tried the MAKE UP FOR EVER HD Pressed Powder or HD Microfinish Loose Powder?
