Spring 2014 brought Revlon Nail Art Sun Candy nail polish in Solar Flare; a gorgeous milky peach shade with a gold shimmer. I’m also showing a swatch of Nails Inc Galaxy in Trafalgar Crescent as a top coat.
I had been looking for a muted peachy orange like this for a long time. Usually, I find shades that lean more neon like Essie Tart Deco but this is a lot more like a bright version of Crewed Interest.
Revlon Nail Art Sun Candy 430 Solar Flare
I’m wearing two coats of the base and one generous coat of the glitter polish. I paired this polish with the Revlon Diamond Top Coat. The polish lasted 4 days until it began to chip or shrink along the edges.
I will say that I find double ended polishes a bit difficult to work with because they are not as comfortable to hold. The brush feels top heavy, if you know what I mean. One other issue I had with the product was the brush. I wish it was a flattened paddle type brush or thinner because it was a bit tricky to work with.
Overall, the color is worth the effort, but if you can find a similar nail polish shade in a brand which has a better brush – then I would stick to that.
Solar Flare and Nails Inc Galaxy Trafalgar Crescent worn as a top coat
Here is Nails Inc Galaxy Trafalgar Crescent over top of Solar Flare. I love this combination! I tried Trafalgar Crescent over a pale blue nail polish and it gave it a green sheen that I wasn’t keen on. However, I’ve noticed that TC looks much better over warm toned nail polishes, particularly pastels.
