How to Get Katy Perry’s Makeup in “This Is How We Do”

Being a part of the Beauty United program has its perks, one of which is being informed on how CoverGirl ladies have their makeup done.

In today’s post, I’m giving you a basic rundown on Katy Perry’s Makeup in “This Is How We Do” which is a compilation of many retro inspired makeup looks from the 60′s and 20′s.

How to Get Katy Perry’s Makeup in “This Is How We Do” Music Video

  • Ready Set Gorgeous Foundation applied with a flat-tipped kabuki brush
  • LiquilineBlast Eyeliner in Black Fire worked into the lash line
  • The winged liner was done with the Bombshell Intensity Liner
  • Katy Perry for eylure lashes in “oh my” were added and finished with the Bombshell Curvaceous by LashBlast Mascara

Karaoke look: LipPerfection Lipcolor in Flame and Flamed Out Shadow Pot in Fired Up Pink

Ice cream truck scene: switched lip color to LipPerfection Lipcolor in “Bombshell” and swapped the eye shadow to a shade called “Sapphire Flare.”

Driving look (red lipstick dress): extra contour and highlight paired it with LipPerfection in Hot. Pearlescent liquid eye shadow (Bombshell ShineShadow in Ice Queen) onto brow bones and ridge of cheekbones.

Multicoloured faux fur jacket (& ping pong look): LipPerfection in Yummy on the lips. COVERGIRL Flamed Out Shadow Pot in Molten Black used for the contour line with a small angled brush for dimension and definition.

Katy Perry in 60′s inspired look with the yellow dress

60′s inspired look with the yellow dress: Vidal Sassoon style hair, more “Molten Black” eye shadow on the eyes, switched lip color for back to LipPerfection in Hot and added a row of lower false lashes for a strong 60′s vibe.

“Bathtub” look: a 1920′s look inspired by Coco Chanel, the same makeup as the driving look but tattoo cover-up was used to hide Katy’s real brows. Then the brows were drawn in super thin above her natural brows to evoke the 1920′s “flapper” look. For the final touch, the make-up artist added a touch of petroleum jelly to her eyelids and brow bones for a dewy sheen.

Which was your favorite look in in “This Is How We Do”?
