DIY Art Project Completed

I know it has been awhile since I last posted. Lately, I haven't done much around the house and I really haven't been motivated to blog. I'm extremely busy right now at work and I don't see it letting up anytime soon. So, I've decided to blog when I truly have something to say. Here's a post that has been draft for awhile now.

A month ago, I told you guys about a project I was working on for my living room. I needed a larger scale piece of artwork for the wall over my chairs. While browsing Pinterest I came across a Pin from Mandy's blog, "Sugar Bee Crafts". I decided to give it a try. Detailed steps can be found on Mandy's blog. I used a picture of me and my mom. It was the last picture we took before she fell ill. Again, here's the picture I started with.

I had the picture blown up to an engineering size at Staples. I purchased a piece of foam board from Lowe's, attached the picture to the foam board using spray adhesive,and finally I used nailhead trim to farm it. A simple piece of art for under $30. Let me know what you guys think.
